That’s where music comes from

Dear reader, apologies, again, for the lack of embloggening. Christmas preparations were time- and energy-consuming, while Christmas Day itself was very difficult. I was fortunate enough to spend most of the day curled up on my parentals’ sofa, watching the TV, with the King Charles puppy they’re looking after snoring on my lap. At some point in the near future, I’m going to pop up a few recipes, because I managed a decent fruit cake as well as the chocolate cake I mentioned in the last blog entry.

In all honesty, I’m still a bit too worn out to do a ‘proper’ blog entry – I got hit with the local cold about 48 hours ago and, while I’m doing well at fighting it off, the constant effort of keeping my honey and lemon level topped up has taken its toll. So, as a marker for the end of a year that’s been mostly difficult and tiring and, at times, weird as anything: Happy New Year, dear reader. I hope your 2016 is splendid and filled with people you like and love. If you like tea and retrospective and have plans and hopes for the next year, I recommend Year Compass.

Thank you, very much, for reading. In next year’s entry (badumtish), I’ll have some good news, perhaps a link or two to direct you towards and possibly some thoughts on video games.

Hereafter

Dear reader, I’m afraid there won’t be an entry for today as my mother died this morning. I have quite a few things to deal with as a result, but normal service should resume in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, dear reader, please be kind to yourself and others.

*bing-bong*

Dearest reader, this Sunday’s blog entry is postponed due to a slight doing-in of my back. Entry will be up tomorrow once I’ve had a chance to lie down and rest. In the meantime, I can recommend caramel digestive biscuits, which may possibly have restorative powers. See you soon, dear reader.
